  • Tom, how many people have say over what happens in a book (like major stuff). Say Gillen called up his editor and went "I'm killing Tony next issue". Would that editor need to get more approval to do it, or can he just be like "go for it!"?

    Depends on the scale of what’s involved. On a typical story, the editor and the writer just decide on stuff between them. But for larger issues, such as killing off a major character, people higher up the food chain such as the Editor in Chief and the Publisher may need to be involved.
