Tom, how much of Marvel's work is writers pitching, and how much is editors getting someone to take a shot on something? In a lot of interviews recently, it sounds like the latter, where editors are asking various writers what they would do given the chance to character X more frequently. Do you guys really do random pitches from writers anymore?

It’s a little bit of both. We don’t really do random pitching from random writers, but guys who are in the fold come to us all the time with ideas for projects they’d like to do. At the same time, we come up with ideas for projects that could be done as a part of our publishing plan. So titles are generated in both ways.
