  • Why does it seem Tony Stark is making an involution compared to his movie counterpart? From having an armor that could fly to him, to an armor stored in his bones, and now he has to suit up in a gantry like his movie counterpart used to do, who now has an armor that can fly to him.

I think that if you go too far down this road, you end up with a guy who’s not wearing a suit of armor, but who is himself a super-cyborg. And that’s not the concept of the character. Also, considering the ending of IRON MAN 3, what sort of suit do you think the film Tony will have next? The pattern they’re following has been following the trajectory we’ve set in the books.
