You think bringing Gwen Stacy back is a zero sum proposition, but wouldn't you have said the same about Bucky Barnes a few years back?

Maybe. The difference, really, is that Bucky Barnes is and was a super hero. You could turn Gwen into something like that, but then I’d argue that what you were getting back wasn’t really Gwen at all. And what you’re losing is Gwen as the girl who died because of Spider-Man.
