  • Not a complaint or criticism, but I thought it was odd that after it seemed you were integrating the X-World more into the Marvel U as a whole, the X-Men are getting their own crossover while there is an Avengers-centric event going on.

    Well, not every story needs to be about every character, or every group of characters. You don’t need the Avengers or Spider-man or whomever in an X-Men-centric story, you don’t need the X-Men in a Spider-Man-centric story, and you don’t need the X-men in an Avengers-centric story. I thin the tendency to label these things is where a lot of the problem comes from. It’s all one big Marvel Universe, but that doesn’t mean that every single character can or should be affected by the events of every single story. This is how you wind up with stories where there are a lot of characters standing wordlessly in the background, thinking, “Me, too!“
