Hey Tom iv aways been a massive xmen fan for 20 odd years and in that time iv been waiting for cyclops to take his rightful place as one the big players in the marvel u .
Since schism and avx he has been front and centre a lot , but now people are divided on his status .
I think it strange that both in the marvel u and some readers now see him as some sort of bad guy .
Let’s not forget Charles enslaved danger to keep his kids training , or that he wiped the existence of scots other brother from history/memory of the xmen.
Or that beast left utopia because of cyclops xforce but was fine with Logan running the team from a school no less, even with what happened to angel , and now he is in a black opps style team himself in new avengers.
Every one forgave jean after she went dark Phoenix , or that wanda is again an avenger after no more mutants and house of m .
I just find it hard to believe that not more xmen would forgive him , it was cap after all that pushed him in to it .
To this end I would like to say it is not cyclops was right ,but cyclops is still right .

Look, you feel the way you feel, and the great thing about the Marvel characters is that different people can have different perspectives on them.

That said, Cyclops killed Professor X right in front of everybody. That’s a bit different from the other examples you gave, and I think a heck of a lot more difficult to forgive than you’re giving it credit for. If somebody killed your father, how difficult would it be for you to forgive them? And thereafter to think of them as a hero?
