AVENGERS ARENA is a successor title to AVENGERS ACADEMY. It was conceived as a continuation of that book, and focuses, at least at the jump-off, on characters from the previous series.

I don’t know that “cash-grab” is at all the right term here. And especially given how disappointed so many of you are when a favorite series goes away because it cannot garner enough of an audience to survive over the long haul, doing anything that gives a book a better chance of being able to stick around is just plain good sense, wouldn’t you say?
