Are Nate Grey and Cable supposed to be the same person in alternate timelines? I look at the two body types and unless Cable is doing serious steroids, their body types are so different they just couldn't be two sides of the same person.

They’re not quite the same person, but they are counterparts of a sort. Cable is Scott and Madeline Pryor’s child, whereas Nate was created artificially in the Age of Apocalypse as a test tube baby from the genetic material of the Scott and Jean of that timeline. So they’re genetically very similar, but not the same. More akin to brothers.
