Even if making new stories is off the table for some reason why exactly can't a deal be made with Hasbro to at least reprint Rom the Spaceknight's original run? Hasbro hasn't done anything with the character in decades.

As with anything of this sort, there is likely a difference between how much Marvel might believe Rom to be worth and how much Hasbro might believe Rom to be worth. And publishing Rom material old or new isn’t a huge priority for Marvel, so it is what it is.
