I noticed you get a lot of mean comments about "ignoring continuity", and i just want to say as a huge DNA fan, Bendis's guardians of the galaxy is a perfect mix of acknowledging the old (name dropping Cosmo, mentioning the Thano Imperative) while being completely accessible. that said, in the grand theme of things how big was the Thanos Imperative to the the galaxy at large? it seemed to me to be huge, but the series is playing it off as if it were nothing.

I think that with any story, expecting the characters to forever after mention it time and again every time they’re doing something is putting the cart before the horse. Regardless of how large or small an event it may have been, it’s over now, and characters are on to new things. When there’s a situation that’s directly relevant to a previous storyline or bit of history, then it might be brought up. But I don’t constantly talk about what I did last week, or where my last vacation took me, and I expect that you don’t either, except when it naturally comes up in conversation. Same thing here.
