Tom, mind if I take the wind out of that Rachel grey fans sail? While I love the character, I do recall in during AvX that Rachel had said she was the Phoenix for years with no issues in one of the tie in issues for the series, but I think someone said this is a Phoenix at full power because the power was Divided up between Rachel,korvus's sword, and the stepford cuckoos I hope that helps this guy rationalize things.
