I find that hard to believe, and yet you take Charcoal, one of the few young black powerhouse characters Marvel has, and a character that Marvel fought to retain the rights to, and banish him to nonexistence for the rest of your tenure at Marvel because of this particular legal challenge? As I said, you can call it petty if you like. But it had nothing to do with the character being black, or with him being a powerhouse, and everything to do with the fact that I don’t like being held up by people we tried to do a fun thing for. And really, the absence of Charcoal this last decade has barely caused a ripple.
