Are you going to ignore the fact that race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sex and gender among other things can have an impact on writing?

Sure they can. But race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender and so forth are not the barometer of good writing. There are people of all these types who are excellent writers, and others who are poor ones. So again, I cannot evaluate based on such factors–only on the work that is produced. That’s what tells you if you’re dealing with one of the excellent ones or one of the lousy ones.
