Every now again a character seems to pop up again (like at the moment, Captain Britain & Dazzler seem to be popping up more frequently after a few years absence). Is this just an odd coincidence with the creators? Or is there a concerted effort from editorial & creators to give a character a spin and see if they gain traction?
Sometimes it’s just the zeitgeist, a moment where for no discernible reason everybody suddenly gets interested in a particular character again. This happened a few years ago with Moon Knight, for example. On the other hand, there are times when an editor might be looking for an opportunity to spotlight a given character, and then some opportunities present themselves. Can’t really say in regards to Dazzler, and I’m not sure what makes you say that with regard to Captain Britain, but at least on my end it wasn’t the result of anything more calculated than certain writers wanting to use him.
