Hi Tom, I noticed someone claimed you were sexist. I can't say I agree with them, I don't know you well enough, but there is cause for concern when, not necessarily you (but you are a fairly big cog, right?), but your firm introduces a character like Gaiman's Angela with nary a change to her costume. Bringing in a big character in a metal bikini, at a time when Gamora, Psylocke and Valkyrie have all had stylish, realistic redesigns seems totally retrograde and sexist. Is this just a fan move?
We’ve spoken about this before, in introducing Angela to the Marvel Universe, it seemed prudent to us to carry her over as intact as possible, rather than changing her top-to-bottom in that transition, and effectively making her a new character. There’s nothing that says that she’s going to remain in that costume permanently moving ahead.
