On top of that the last writer left Nate with his powers broken which also brings me to another weird thing In my opinion. Why does Marvel always handicap Nate and Cable?     Come on now, it’s great that you love those particular characters, but this is hardly the first time in their publishing history that they’ve not been in a book. The New mutants don’t get favored nations status, wherein when one appears they all have to appear–that’s just nutty. In terms of Cable and X-Man, it’s really just a choice of the people working on the book. After X-SANCTION, had we done more with him, Jeph Loeb and I had talked about amping Cable up in a big way, but we didn’t end up doing that story, and other people should be allowed to tell the story that they want to tell.
