You recently answered "That’s a clear indication as to what the marketplace and the audience as a whole actually wants, despite what portions of it will sometimes say. We follow the money." to a question somebody asked and I was wondering: Is it because the books are quality products or because people just want to stay up to date in order to know what's going on in their favourite titles and keep up with comic book culture, that they buy these events?

I couldn’t say–and really, it doesn’t matter. We operate under the assumption that a series that’s selling well is doing so because there’s an audience that wants to read that kind of material. The fact that this behavior is so absolutely consistent indicates that this is the case. Why they might want to read this material is irrelevant to the process–we want to reach the widest audience possible, so we give the people what they want. If suddenly tomorrow Ant-Man titles sold like gangbusters, we’d be publishing Spectacular Ant-Man and Ant-Hill of Ant-Man in no time.
