I actually didn't ask the original question about Johnny being played by a black guy...I just found your answer strange. I didn't really get why you deemed his look as "non-defining" when it's been his look since forever, just like Cage's or Blade's or Sunfire's or whoever else.

If Johnny Storm is played by a black actor, does anything material change about his character, his history or his situation? Not as far as I can tell. So it’s a non-issue to me.
