were you the editor on the crossing? if so, how do you feel about the fact that much of the story has been wiped out/retconned away? did it deserve to be largely forgotten and swept under the rug?

I was not the editor of The Crossing, though I was around when it was being worked on. And it was a mess of a story, and deservedly dispensed with.
