I don't know Tom, I think if you had a strong EIC and some competent group editors, DC would be easy to fix up. The problem (at least from what I've seen) is editors and creators not talking amongst themselves and not trusting in each other.

From what I see and what I know, the problem is much larger and more ingrained into the fabric of the overall organization, not simply DC. You can have the best editors in the world there, but if the company doesn’t let you do what needs to be done to make things better, for whatever reason, then you’re only going to be able to affect so much.
