there are rumors Sony is looking to sell the movie rights to Spider-Man. How would you feel if Warner Bros won the bids somehow and he was part of the JLA movie? And yes i realize its not going to happen :)
I think those rumors are more a fantasy than the idea that a man can cling to walls.
