Tom...if Beast has access to a Time Machine, why didn't he do the more sensible thing and go back and stop AvX? or at least stop Xavier from getting himself killed?

How would he have done either of those things? He couldn’t stop the Phoenix from coming to Earth, and he couldn’t stop the Phoenix-empowered Cyclops from doing anything.
