was reading your formspring and while i agree with some of it, i find your sports analogy too be way off. putting bucky against galactus for example, is the equivalent of putting a five year old T-ball player against Roger Clemens throwing fastballs. matchups are made between two opponents of similar skill levels. I agree that comics have a much bigger leeway in terms of magic and unforeseen outcomes, so comparing those battles to real world sports seems inapt.

It’s an analogy, it doesn’t need to be an absolute parallel. And in most cased when we’re talking about this, we’re not speaking about Bucky vs Galactus, we’re talking about two combatants who are more evenly matched. That all said, none of this stopped Spider-Man from beating Firelord with his fists, so on the right day, maybe Bucky could take Galactus.
