  • As an editor, you obviously are involved in a comic from inception to execution. However, are there ever any instances where, upon seeing the final product/page/issue, you're still, "Wow!" ? For example, I'm a 42-year-old comic fan, and the last page of "Age of Ultron" #5 still has me dying for issue #6 (and anybody who says Bendis has no grasp of character? Please....). I've been reading you cats for all my life, and you still give me comics that read like something never-before-done...

Glad you liked it–and here’s one guy that did for that questioner a few back who wanted feedback on what people were liking about AGE OF ULTRON. As to your question, sure, though that tends to come at an earlier point in the process for me than it does for you–when we’re building the story and the book, rather than when you’re experiencing the final product. But yes, absolutely.
