I’m re-reading 1980s John Byrne Marvel comics and really miss his stuff. I see you also post a few of his items on your blogs. Has there been any conversations with him coming back since the X-Men Hidden Years exit? What would it take for him to come back? His commissions are outstanding. 

John has made his feelings about contemporary Marvel and the people who run it abundantly clear over the years, so you have to respect his position. Whatever would need to change in order to get him to come back would have to come from him–if nothing else, he’d need to be able to type the word Marvel, rather than M—–, when communicating with us. So the ball is really in his court, to whatever extent this is an issue. John does seem to be perfectly happy doing his own thing for IDW and elsewhere.
