Tom, in your professional opinion, whats more important the words or the art? because I'm trying to read Gillen's Iron Man, and I'm LOVING the story, but I despise the art. and I have trouble actually enjoying the story because of how much I hate the art. This isn't a unique thing to Iron Man either, its happening with a number of your books, and I fear giving up on stories and characters I enjoy because of how aesthetically displeasing the art is to me.
Neither the story nor the art is more important individually, it’s the synthesis of these two aspects that make comics comics. So this all comes down really to personal choice on the part of the individual reader, as to whether the overall reading experience is entertaining enough for you to want to continue with.
