It conflicts with the idea that Havok wants to be judged like everyone else because he has powers that destroy city blocks. How comfortable would you be arguing with someone who can destroy everything you own with an eyeblink? How comfy would you be with Havok as your next door neighbor? I don't want him living next to me and it has nothing to do with his ethnicity, sexuality or religious beliefs and everything to do with him being a walking human bomb...

I don’t think that conflicts at all–I think that’s precisely why Havok feels the way that he does. If everybody treated you like a dangerous walking explosive that could go off at any time, you too might be wanting people to judge you more based on the fact that you’ve got this ability and haven’t exploded all over the place.
