  • My problem with Havokgate isn't what the character said. There are obvious problems with the character's viewpoint in that he was not elected to make this decision on the other mutants behalf, even if he doesn't other mutants view themselves proudly in that minority, and there is a scientific necessity for a term for mutant. I was actually excited about what they would mean until I saw Rick's responses and got the impression he wasn't writing it with that awareness. That's a problem.

    Um…when was Magneto elected to make his views known? Or Cyclops? Or Wolverine? I think you’re confusing having a podium with being somehow the representative of everybody. Havok in that scene speaks about himself–that’s well within bounds, I think.
