Hi Tom - I have a very simple, but probably difficult question - is “mutant” still a metaphor for minority?

Mutant is a metaphor for a lot of things–it’s wonderfully universal in that way. So whether you’re black, or gay, or Latino, or Jewish, or just considered kind of an oddball, it can have resonance for you.
