Tom, why is the comics industry so opposed to criticism from fans? You guys always complain about fan reactions prior to a story ending, and then when the story ends you guy always go, "oh well, its all building to something else, so you can't say anything yet" Why can't I just dislike a story, regardless of its completion or what its leading to?

You can certainly dislike a story, and there’s a whole big Internet here where you can voice that dislike. I do think it’s a little bit silly how some fans turn up to complain about a story based on the solicits, or based on a three-page preview or whatever–but that’s their right as readers and customers. And also, while criticism is always welcome, that doesn’t mean that we’re always going to agree with it (any more than the rest of your fellow readers do, necessarily.)
