  • I really wish you or Rick would try and engage X-Men fans, especially those on CBR in an attempt at civil discussion and mending bridges. There is a lot of anger and resentment. They feel like you and Rick don't even care or understand why they are offended by Uncanny Avengers. You should at least try and engage them. The ball is really in your court. You could even ask a mod to set up a civil Q&A.

I’m pretty easy to find and communicate with–here you are doing it right now! But I don’t see there being any percentage in showing up for a lynch party in my honor. If people are upset and want to talk about this, by all means, let them come! But expecting me to go to their neighborhood so that abuse can be heaped upon me over this scene is maybe not thinking things through too well. You don’t fight Castro in Cuba. I do find it funny that at least some of these same people were the ones who were praising Rick’s UNCANNY X-FORCE as a seminal run and an instant classic, and now he’s suddenly a guy who doesn’t get X-fans or who hates them or something. If somebody affiliated with CBR wanted to try to set something up, I’d entertain the idea at least–but I’m not going to go looking for trouble. Such a conversation is much more likely to make people angrier when I don’t refute the scene for them than not doing it, I suspect.
