I'm pretty dissappointed with the Remender controversy. If the response from Rick and Marvel had been "We hear you, we've learned something, and we'll keep it in mind moving forward," I would stay on-board and wait. But first it was "hobo piss," then all these justifications and faux-apologies that are so hard to swallow. Should Marvel acknowledge that these are legitimate concerns, and that the fans who voiced deserve some respect? We're not all trolls, no matter what Rick thinks.

I think these are perfectly legitimate concerns from the readers. But it sounds like what you’re really after is a refutation of that scene or a disavowal of it, and that’s not something that we’re going to do. I stand behind that scene as being legitimately the point of view of a particular character about a particular issue. And I feel no more need or reason to refute it than I do the point of view of Cyclops or Magneto or Wolverine or anybody else within the books who has a point of view on this subject. Characters are individual and characters have their own take on things, just as real people do.
