I think that the point of Havok’s speech is that people aren’t all just one thing, and need not be defined by one aspect of who they are. So to use the little bit about yourself that you revealed here, you are Indian, but you’re also male, based on your photo you’re relatively young, I don’t know what your religious or political beliefs might be, or your sexual orientation. So defining you as Indian may be reductive–especially when the defining is being done by other people. You may want to be identified as Indian, but to other people, you might be seen as Male, or as Young, or as whatever.
