How can you say AvX had few tie-ins? It had 48 tie-in issues, plus Consequences, AvX Babies and now a What If.
Relatively few tie-ins–and all of them in books with AVENGERS or X-MEN in the title. AVX was incredibly easy to ignore if you were reading any other comic.
