  • Over the course of their history Avengers had a habit of taking in whatever characters were the most popular in less famous teams. Beast, back when X-Men were almost getting cancelled, Justice and Firestar of New Warriors during Busiek, now Nico Minoru from Runaways, to name few. Some think it's "predatory" behavior, taking away the best parts of other teams to artificially boost sales of Avengers and only makes it harder for those other brands to make a comeback. What is your opinion?

My opinion is that that’s the premise of the series, right from Day One, so it’s a bit ridiculous to have a problem with it or to consider it predatory behavior–especially when it’s all done with the consent of Marvel–you know, the folks who own all of this stuff.
