If Civil War and Apocalypse do as well as I hope, will that convince DC to change course for their films and stick closer to the source material instead of trying to make it as dark as humanly possible?
I really can’t speak for DC or what their film plans might be. It does seem like they are desperate to distinguish their brand from Marvel, though, so if those films are a success, it’s just as likely that they’ll feel a need to double down on a darker approach to their films. But really, at this point, who knows?
