Hey Tom, I think the one guy was just saying that it should still be called "Earth 616" since WEB WARRIORS has referred to "Earth 001" for their home base & "Earth 982" for MC2, and "Earth 65" for Spider-Gwen. It can be assumed that the main universe has a numerical designation too. However, it could be argued these are just the designations Karn/The Inheritors used when hunting across the multiverse, and so the Web Warriors are using them now because they don't know better.
That all sounds like rationalizations for “You changed something and I don’t like it” to me. And people can feel the way they feel, but this is the way it is now. The MU is the MU–it doesn’t have a number, so the Web Warriors’ HQ can still be Earth-001 if they want.
