Someone else mentioned Wanda’s mother, but I’m confused. I thought Remender retconned it so that Wanda (and Pietro) were basically grown by the High Evolutionary. How does she have a mother at all?

You didn’t read that story closely enough (or at all.) The High Evolutionary took Wanda and Pietro from their parents and did his experimenting from there.
