How exactly can Venom work on his own in a world where Spider-Man never existed and no Spider-Man supporting characters or villains except for Carnage can appear? Explain to me how you would do this since it's what Sony is doing right now and I don't understand why they think it's a good idea.
I don’t think that either of us know what Sony is doing, apart from some reports that, typically, to my experience, stand a 50-50 chance of being bogus. But assuming that there is truth to them, I don’t know that it’s a tough thing to work out–all you need is a ball of black goo from space (or not even from space if you go with the Ultimate version) and Eddie Brock to make Venom. And it can’t be much dopier than what was done in Spider-Man 3…
