It’s a pretty great time for super hero television, really. From Marvel, I really love Agent Carter, and Agents of SHIELD, while it isn’t quite a super hero series per se, operates within that world. The two Netflix shows, Daredevil and Jessuca Jones, have both been excellent, and I’d expect similar from the upcoming Cage and Iron Fist releases. Further from home, Supergirl does a great job at embodying the core values of that franchise, and Legends of Tomorrow is completely over-the-top, but in a way that clearly loves the source material. My personal favorite, to no one’s surprise, is The Flash, which hits all of the notes right. Also, these days, with the myriad of channels and streaming services, all of the great shows of the past are still available as well. On most typical Saturday’s I’ve been watching at least a portion of MeTV’s super hero/sci fi block, which includes the 50s Adventures of Superman, the Adam West Batman, Wonder Woman, and now The Incredible Hulk.
