Thanks for answering Tom. I see the logic, but it's a bit deceptive. If I live in a town of 30k and 700 or 1000 show up at city hall to protest, as mayor I say to myself it may be a decent and mutually beneficial course of action to compromise.

That’s because, in a situation like that, there’s a reasonable possibility that those who are not present will behave in a manner consistent with those who are. That’s in no way the case with online comic book fans. One only needs to go to any convention or any store to see this in action.
