>DC’s movies haven’t endeared themselves to me the way some of Marvel’s has. I think it’s because DC takes themselves too seriously and Marvel has a bit of comedy put in. You always expect the “Whedon snark” in a Marvel movie while DC always has their “gods among mortals” thing going on which makes their characters unrelatable and distant. Your thoughts?>

I don’t think there’s really enough evidence to make that determination, apart from some Warner’s executives saying nonsense during investor calls. But certainly GREEN LANTERN was hardly a “gods among mortals” picture, and that’s among the four or five most recent DC films they’ve done, so…
