  • Tom, why don't Marvel just adopt the same "time" model as employed by the Simpsons? Lisa was conceived shortly after the M*A*S*H finale and is only 8 now. That way Magneto can still be from World War II and a 50-60 year old man. Marvel time is already an inconsistent model (Franklin and Power Pack's age difference) so why not just have a model that functions. The "time" aspect should only be relevant if it's relevant to a story being told, not a story already told.

    Because that’s not the way we’ve ever done it, and that approach makes the characters seem even less real and relevant to people, I think–more like cartoons. That may work for some, not for Marvel.
