Hey Tom, who generally handles the balloon placement in a comic? I read an old post on Jim Shooter's blog that said it was usually the writer but I was under the impression that it was the letterer's job. Maybe it's a then vs now thing?
These days, the Letterer does the initial placements more often than not.
