When it comes to teen heroes, what exactly did Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel do right that Darkhawk did wrong that led to the former two being wildly popular and the latter being oft forgotten?

Every character is different, some of them hit the zeitgeist and some don’t. Darkhawk had his moment, but couldn’t sustain it. So it goes.
