Are superheroes (Marvel, DC, whatever) immoral and irresponsible for having children or civilian friends and loved ones? Aren’t they all willingly risking another ‘Gwen Stacy’ or ‘Aqua Man’s son’?
I don’t think so. Are cops? Are military personnel? Same thing.
