huge mark waid fan and i love that some of the newer characters are getting a chance to be avengers but iron man just seems so off in this book. very different from the bendis book..i know your trying something different but poor broke iron man just doesnt work well at all
I think people get the wrong idea about this. it isn’t “poor broke Iron Man”, it’s “Iron Man’s not in a position to fund the Avengers.” Do you have any idea how much an operation like the Avengers would cost to operate? Even for the wealthy, it would constitute an enormous drain on resources, at best. So Tony still has a company and still makes money, but he doesn’t have so much loot stashed away that he can burn off mass quantities of it funding the Avengers the way he once did.
