  • Mr. Tom I read an article today saying that several comic store owners are selling less comics since the recent ANAD launch and almost zero DC comics. I know you get questions or people saying they know sales are down and I've seen you reply that those numbers are not correct? So I'll simply ask are the new direction books selling as a whole? If not would the company change characters back to more traditional styles of art and origin?

    If something isn’t selling, then it goes away. That’s pretty much the one inviolate rule around here. But we’re not seeing that as a problem across the boards. Any one individual store may be experiencing a slowdown in sales based on their clientele and their area, but it doesn’t appear to be a trend across the boards, at least not one greater than what is typical.
