I own a costume of Steve's original costume. But Sam is Captain America now. How does that quote not invalidate the idea of Sam holding the title? I get that comics will always revert but how you handle that matters. How should a person of color should feel when they read that quote? How does that not make Sam look like an imposter

    I will say that I follow the instinct completely, that in an anniversary year celebrating the longevity of the character, you might want to have the character present.
