Hey Tom, Not really a question but a reaction to those Sam Alexander Nova haters:

First of all, I’m surprised you still get hate posts about him. It’s been a year of interesting stories with Sam Alexander. They’re not great stories but they’re not terrible. Mostly they’re fun stories and that’s all you really want out of a comic book story.

Second, if you hate him so much… stop buying the books he’s in. I’ll give you an example… I hate Cable. I hate his bionic arm, his guns, his useless pouches, his receding hairline, his origin story, how he was ret-conned into the Summers bloodline, his idiotic blinking eye, EVERYTHING about him turns my stomach. In my opinion, he is a product of the 90’s and should have stayed there. He represented everything wrong in comics at that time that Mark Waid wrote him as a villain in Kingdom Come. It pains me that he is still being written as an essential character to the X-Men and, now, to the Avengers.

So I don’t buy books he’s in. My mind is at ease, my wallet is lighter, and I just hope editors and writers will see him the way I do and just stop creating stories about him. Why would I spend money on stories featuring a character that pisses me off, anyway?

Have a great new year Tom! All the best to you and your loved ones in the coming new year!

> These are really more Pro-Rich Rider posts than Anti-Sam Alexander posts, is the thing–it’s just that some of these guys don’t quite know how to make their argument any other way. Also, any character can be used well, and as part of a good story.
